Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 1 Verse 18

Galatians 1:18 records the account of Paul’s journey to Jerusalem three years after his conversion, in order to visit Cephas. Paul stayed with Cephas for fifteen days, during which time he was informed of the Gospel message as it had been preached to the Gentiles by Peter. Paul also met with James, the brother of Jesus. It is unclear what the purpose of Paul’s visit was, but it appears to have been a time of fellowship and discussion of the Gospel message. Paul’s visit to Jerusalem was a significant event in the early Church, as it showed his commitment to the Gospel and the unity of the Church.
