and I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 1 Verse 14

Galatians 1:14 is part of the Apostle Paul’s testimony of his conversion to Christianity. Before his conversion, Paul was an extremely zealous Jew who was dedicated to the traditions of his fathers. He was so devoted to his religion that he was well known among his peers for his zeal. After his conversion, he continued to be well known for his zeal, but this time it was for the teachings of Jesus Christ. Paul was now an apostle of Christ, and he was passionate about spreading the gospel. This verse emphasizes the power of his conversion, and the dramatic transformation it had in his life.
