Ye think all this time that we are excusing ourselves unto you. In the sight of God speak we in Christ. But all things, beloved, [are] for your edifying.

Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 12 Verse 19

Paul is telling the Corinthians that, although they had been thinking that he was trying to make excuses for himself, he is actually speaking honestly and truthfully in the sight of God. He encourages them to use his words to build them up and become better people, rather than to tear him down. Paul is reminding them that his words are meant to be edifying and that they should use them to grow in their faith.
