Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 7 Verse 1

In 2 Corinthians 7:1, Paul calls on the believers to cleanse themselves from all moral and spiritual impurity, and strive to become more holy in a reverent fear of God. He reminds them of the promises given to them in the gospel and encourages them to live a life that is in accordance with God’s word. He reminds them that they are no longer bound by sin and they can now live a life of holiness and purity. He encourages them to be careful to obey God’s commands and to stay away from anything that will cause them to stumble. Ultimately, Paul reminds them to pursue holiness in the fear of the Lord and to trust in his promises.
