Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.

Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 Verse 11

In 2 Corinthians 5:11, Paul is expressing his hope that he and his fellow Christians can make their faith in Christ known to their fellow believers in the church of Corinth. He says that they should be persuasive in their witness, but their ultimate goal should be to make themselves known to God and to be transparent enough that their faith will be evident in the consciences of their fellow believers. He understands that the fear of the Lord should be their motivation, as it should be for all Christians.
