2 Corinthians Chapter 4 Verse 18

2 Corinthians 4:18

The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 4 Verse 18 says:

while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 4 Verse 18

2 Corinthians 4:18 is a reminder from Paul to the believers in the church of Corinth that the things of this world that can be seen—the temporal, earthly, material things—are only temporary, and that our attention should be focused on the things which cannot be seen—the spiritual, eternal things. He encourages them to keep their eyes fixed on the spiritual things above and not be distracted by the things in this world, which will fade away. Paul’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of living a life focused on the things of God, which will never pass away.
