For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be made sorry, but that ye might know the love that I have more abundantly unto you.
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 4
In 2 Corinthians 2:4, Paul is expressing his deep emotion as he wrote a letter to the Corinthians with many tears. He does not want them to be saddened by what he wrote, but rather to understand the great love he has for them. He is expressing the sorrow he feels from the affliction and anguish, and wants them to know that his love for them is stronger than any of those feelings.
