Interpretation of Romans Chapter 6 Verse 1

Romans 6:1 is a rhetorical question which Paul is asking to demonstrate how foolish it would be to continue sinning in the hope that grace will abound. Paul is asking us to consider the consequences of sin, which is death, and to understand that by continuing to sin, we cannot take advantage of the grace that Jesus has offered us through his death and resurrection. Paul is urging us to turn away from sin and accept the grace of Jesus, which offers us freedom from death and the hope of eternal life.
