for they loved the glory [that is] of men more than the glory [that is] of God.
Interpretation of John Chapter 12 Verse 43
John 12:43 is one of Jesus’s teachings about those who love the glory of man more than the glory of God. He is warning the people that the glory of man is fleeting, and that God’s glory is eternal. He is saying that if we seek the glory of man, we will be disappointed, but if we seek the glory of God, we will find true satisfaction and joy. Jesus is also reminding us that God is the ultimate source of glory, and that any glory we receive from men is only temporary.
