John 5:43
The Bible in John Chapter 5 Verse 43 says:
I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Interpretation of John Chapter 5 Verse 43
John 5:43 is a warning from Jesus that His followers should not receive others who come in their own name, even if they come with seemingly good intentions. Jesus is emphasizing that His Father’s authority is the only authority that should be accepted. Jesus is saying that if another comes claiming to be from God, but without the Father’s authority, then his words should not be accepted. He is emphasizing that it is only through the Father that salvation can be found.
