Interpretation of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 47

In this passage from the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is condemning the Pharisees and scribes for honoring the prophets of old, whose teachings they refused to follow. He points out that their ancestors had actually killed these prophets, and yet they are building monuments to them. Jesus is telling the Pharisees that their hypocrisy is evident in their acts of honoring the prophets, while rejecting their teachings. He warns them of the consequences of their actions, and cautions them to repent and follow the teachings of the prophets.
