Luke 11:43
The Bible in Luke Chapter 11 Verse 43 says:
Woe unto you Pharisees! for ye love the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 43
In this passage, Jesus is condemning the Pharisees for the love of the chief seats in the synagogues and the salutations in the marketplaces. He is telling them that they should not be concerned with such worldly things, and instead should focus on serving God and their fellow man. This is a reminder for all of us to not be overly concerned with worldly things, but to focus instead on the things of God.
