Luke 11:18
The Bible in Luke Chapter 11 Verse 18 says:
And if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 18
In this passage, Jesus is questioning the Pharisees who have accused him of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebub, a demon. Jesus points out the logical inconsistency of this accusation by asking them how Satan’s kingdom could stand if he was divided against himself. This suggests that if Jesus is using the power of Beelzebub to cast out demons, then Satan is working against himself. Jesus is suggesting that the Pharisees’ accusation is illogical and unfounded.
