Luke 11:7

The Bible in Luke Chapter 11 Verse 7 says:

and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee?

Interpretation of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 7

In this passage of scripture, Jesus is teaching his disciples about prayer and the importance of persistence in their requests. He is illustrating the power of prayer by using the parable of a friend asking another friend for some bread at midnight. The man inside the house is reluctant to get up and answer the door, but when he does, the person outside persists and eventually receives what he is asking for. Jesus uses this parable to encourage his disciples to be persistent in their prayers and to never give up, for God will answer them.
