Luke 4:9
The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 9 says:
And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 9
Jesus was led by the devil to the pinnacle of the temple in Jerusalem. The devil then challenged Jesus, asking him to prove his divinity by throwing himself off the temple, as God had promised to protect him if he did so. Jesus refused the devil’s challenge, quoting scripture that God should not be tested. He then rebuked the devil, who left him. Jesus’ refusal of the devil’s challenge demonstrated his faith and obedience to God’s will.
